Repairs Program

Problem

Many Veterans, Seniors (60 and older), and individuals with disabilities face significant challenges in maintaining their homes. Aging, limited mobility, and financial constraints can make essential repairs and modifications difficult or impossible. Without the necessary support, these individuals may struggle to remain in their homes, impacting their safety and quality of life.

Our Solution

At Houston County Habitat for Humanity, we believe that everyone deserves to stay in their home. Our Repairs Program which we call Repair Corps, provides vital assistance by addressing critical repair needs such as HVAC system repairs, wheelchair ramps, accessibility modifications, and exterior repairs. Our goal is to help individuals maintain their independence and comfort in their own homes.

How Our Program Works

Our program is designed to reach those with the greatest need, ensuring that assistance goes to families who will benefit the most. The process consists of three simple steps:

  1. Qualify: We assess applicants based on specific criteria to determine eligibility for our repairs program.
  2. Apply: Eligible applicants submit an application detailing their repair needs and circumstances.
  3. Repair: Once approved, our team works to complete the necessary repairs, helping individuals and families live safely and comfortably in their homes.

How to Qualify for the Repairs Program

To be eligible for our Repairs Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
