A charitable bequest to Houston County Habitat is a great way to make a gift toward the mission of ending substandard housing beyond your lifetime. A bequest is a provision in one's last will and testament where an asset or percentage of the remainder of the donor's estate is transferred to Houston County Habitat for Humanity. A bequest can also be made by adding a codicil to your existing will. Please contact Bill Goggin, Executive Director, at 478.328.3388 if you are interested in receiving more information about making a charitable bequest.
A Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA) through Houston County Habitat for Humanity is a good partnership option for retired donors on a fixed income. When an individual signs up for a CGA they will transfer an asset to Houston County Habitat. Houston County Habitat signs a contract to pay annual income to the donor for their lifetime. After the donor's lifetime, the remainder of the asset will be transferred to Habitat to build more homes.
Houston County Habitat for Humanity administers charitable gift annuities through Habitat for Humanity International. The minimum gift amount for a CGA is $5,000. For more information about charitable gift annuities, call Bill Goggin at 478.328.3388.
